2008’s going to be a seriously busy year for meebo…we’ve got a small release getting queued up for you all that’ll probably push in about a week. We’re also looking forward to adding more neat applications to the meebo platform and to making lots of improvements across the board. winter meebo

A few weeks ago, Vijay, Renaud, and Jim formed an impromptu “tree committee” with the intent of finding the largest Christmas tree that we could fit at meebo. After hunting, they returned with a ten foot tree and placed it just behind my desk. My tree neighbor has really put me in the holiday mood! To bring a little bit of snowy cheer to the holidays, I felt inspired to create a meebo winter wallpaper that I wanted to share with everyone. [More]

develop a meebo app!

7 voice/video applications and 27 games have launched in meebo.

Want to use one? Look for the little meebo apps in any IM window.

Want to develop one? Come to our dev camp this Friday at the meebo HQ! We’ll be serving up lunch, offering up plenty of wireless access, and walking around answering any questions you all may have about the platform API.

meebo mobile in your language

When the iPhone launched in the United States, Andrea’s son, Anthony, volunteered to wait in line at our local AT&T store. Anthony queued up all morning with a friend from high school and waited many hours before the stores opened at 6pm. They managed to buy one of the first iPhones from the store and returned to our office, eager to try out meebo. campus fun

Seth has been running all over the States visiting colleges and universities and holding information sessions to answer people’s questions about what it’s like to work at meebo. He’s had a lot of fun (and a lot of airplane time) meeting students and potential candidates. Well he’s finally back in the Bay Area and this time it’ll be me and Elaine, and some of our developers. rocket ship

We just celebrated our 2nd-year birthday with a little party up in San Francisco. The whole team has been working around the clock so it was nice to get some entertainment (Guitar Hero!) and finger food. (sxp) SocialXperience on KillerStartups

We were reviewed today on KillerStartups, so take a look, and make sure you vote for us! One correction...we don't actually double as a social network. All of the cool icons at the top for Photo Sharing, Video, Professional, etc. are the Blog categories. We are, however a start page with our custom widgets for blog feeds, news, email, weather, calendar, box.net, notes, and web search.
